Product Description
The gleam of silver plate, contrasting with the dark wood, make this Seder Plate a distinctive centerpiece. The surface is engraved with a delicate leaf design and inside the six indentations is written the names of the special Seder night foods. A final touch are the small feet giving height to the tray.
After use, wipe gently and pack in a closed box.
The six ritual foods are:
Zaroah, roasted bone – a reminder of the Pesach offering brought to the Temple on Pesach
Beitzah, hard-boiled egg – a reminder of the Festival offering brought to the Temple on Pesach
Maror – Horseradish root, bitters herbs symbolizing the bitter times suffered as slaves in Egypt.
Charoset – a mixture resembling cement, a reminder of the forced labor endurs as slaves in Egypt
Karpas – small vegetable dipped into salt water epresenting the salty tears cried by the slaves
Chazeret, Lettuce – representing bitter herbs – eaten with matzah during the seder
